Willow class spent the day outside on Thursday 30th November building shelters. They were split into two teams and their task was to plan and build a shelter that their whole team could fit inside. They used bamboo, twigs, mud, leaves and string, working together as a team with amazing results. They also learned the valuable life skill of fire starting and finished the day toasting chocolate coated bananas! The only unplanned event was the snowfall later in the afternoon!
Sicklinghall and Goldsborough thoroughly enjoyed their hands on experiences at Thwaite Mills Museum. World War Two activities included evacuation, rationing, war survival, putty production and making their own gas masks. Lots of fun!' Read more
